👋 Try these steps to get your iPhone recognised in iTunes
Sometimes a new iPhone doesn’t show up in iTunes straight away, so here are a few quick checks your PC might need 👇
⸻
1️⃣ Make sure the cable is an Apple (or good quality) one
Sometimes cheaper cables only charge and don’t transfer data.
⸻
2️⃣ Restart both
➡️ Unplug the phone ➡️ Restart your iPhone ➡️ Restart your PC ➡️ Plug it back in again
⸻
3️⃣ Update iTunes
Older versions won’t recognise new phones.
Open iTunes → Help → Check for Updates
⸻
4️⃣ Install Apple’s “Mobile Device Support”
This is what lets Windows talk to iPhones.
On your PC: • Press Windows Key • type Services • open Services • look for Apple Mobile Device Service • If you see it, right-click → Restart
If you don’t see it, reinstall iTunes from here: (apple.com/itunes) (don’t worry if you already installed — reinstall refreshes it)
⸻
5️⃣ Try a different USB port
